teresa lozano
Teresa Lozano was born in Valencia in 1944. From her father, an accredited painter, she learned the need to devote herself to art. From her mother, a very “theatrical” housewife, she learned wit and sharpness.
She began her studies of Philosophy and Letters at the University of Valencia and had her first theatrical experience performing the play “The Bear” by Chekhov.
She traveled to Madrid to study French Philology and discovered theater as a spectator. Then she moved to Barcelona, continuing her studies at the Estudis Nous de Teatre school directed by Albert Boadella and Pep Montanyès, and met Lluís Pasqual, Joan Font, Armengol,… She continued studying at the Centre d’Estudis Teatrals d’Horta with Pep Montanyès and made her first performances in front of the public. Since then she has never stopped training and has never stopped going on stage.
Always between Valencia and Barcelona in her beginnings, and later also Madrid, she has participated in important productions under the orders of directors of the stature of José Martín, Lluís Pasqual, Miguel Narros, Carme Portaceli, John Strasberg, Juli Leal, Gerardo Vera, Josep María Mestres, Salva Bolta,…

In addition to remaining in the theater throughout these years, she has had time to be in the beginnings of the AAPV ( Actors i Actrius Profesionals Valencians) of which she was the first President and to develop her career also in the audiovisual where she has participated in very important series of which it is worth mentioning:
“Mujeres”. Dunia Ayaso and Félix Sabroso. “Los Serrano”, “Hospital Central”, “El internado”, “Aida”, “El tiempo entre costuras”, “Amar es siempre” and “Aida” and a long etcetera.
As well as in cinema where she began her career with “Todos a la Cárcel” by Luis García Berlanga and currently working with directors such as Gracia Querejeta “Ola de crímenes”, Rodrigo Sorogoyen “Que Dios nos perdone”, Daniele Luchetti “Francesco il papa della gente”, Daniel Sánchez Arévalo “ La gran familia española”, Javier Ruiz Caldera “Spanish Movie”, Silvia Munt “Cosas que pasan”, David Trueba “Saben Aquell”, Sonia Escolano “Norbert(A)” o ‘Celia Rico “La Buena Letra”….
